Balmoral, formerly Norwegian Crown

In 2008 the Norwegian Crown was bought by Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, was 'stretched' and given a refit, and now she is the Balmoral.

The Balmoral  has gained another 9,000 tons and 250 passengers since her refit in 2008.

You can see quite a lot of differences, notably the extension above the bridge at the front - this forms the topmost lounge called the Observatory.

You can, however, also spot the things that haven't changed.

When we were on board for our transatlantic voyage in 2012, however, we didn't see anything we recognised from the Norwegian Crown days.
